Thought I'd share a little something I did with two of of my vintage flour/grain sacks. The rocking chair has been in my husband's family for a couple of generations so I thought it deserved cushions in keeping with the fact that his grandfather and father were grain farmers, first in Kansas and then here in Idaho.

And some totes.

And pillows.

Feast your eyes on these grain-sack beauties made from flax or perhaps hemp.

This one has a built-in pour spout, all of it hand-stitched.

I love this one that has the farmer's initials embroidered onto the face of it.

Many of those I have still have the hand-braided string used to close the sack once it was full.

Beautiful! MaryJane the pillows for the rocking chair are precious. The one with the spout is really unique.
