This week, fall was definitely in the air, so naturally, I was thinking apples. I decided to make a braided apple loaf. Trial #1 was pretty successful. I'll get more details and a recipe up soon!

Finally, it's gardening season. Hubby tilled; I planted. This year, 2 more sweet cherry trees, 2 honey crisp apples, and 1 Fuji. My 2 new peach trees from last year are looking fabulous this year--covered in blooms about to open--my honey bees ready to pounce. In addition to braided apple loaves, I'm thinkin' braided peach loaf this year.

This year I out-smarted the underground critters who dine on bulbs by planting a riot of daffodils, tulips, dahlias, lilies, and gladiolus in my stock tank gardens. Easy pickin'. No weedin'.

Ready to go.

Looks mighty good. We're definitely on the same page with Autumn and apples. Thanks Ashley!
