Dear MaryJane and Ashley,

When you showed me the preview http://www.wildbread.net/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=45 of the new magazine and the molasses oat bread recipe I knew exactly what I was going to bake this week! It turned out perfect. We haven’t had supper yet so I haven’t tasted it (I know it’s going to be delicious as always) but everything else went fantastic!

I'm glad it's a hit! I've certainly devoured my fair share of it.

This oat-molasses bread is one of the best breads ever. So delicious. It's a keeper.

Yes! I think so! I was thinking planning to wait a week and feed my mother double one more time, but instead I am going to take your suggestion and feed it in the middle of the week and then do double breads Friday. I know I am going to try the rustic rye, the second batch I’m not sure on but I am thinking maybe I will try the Pullman loaf again. I did that one when I first started my fridge mother, I never got it to rise all the way to the top. I would like to try it again, since I’m pretty sure it will rise all the way this time.

Your bread looks perfect! It’s been so great seeing all of the delicious-looking pictures you’ve been posting, and to hear about your success. Thank you!

Are you planning on making two batches of bread next week? Any ideas on what you’ll try next?

We ate one loaf that night, everyone loved it! My sister thought it tasted like the bread for the restaurant Outback , so I thought that was good. I thought it was one of the best I had made yet! I finished off the first loaf with my lunch yesterday. We are eating the other loaf today with our Sunday lunch! When I first started my mother we were freezing more of the bread than we were eating, but now it’s more like, “Maybe I should double my mother and make two batches because one loaf of bread just isn’t making it the whole week!”

Oh my word, your photos are amazing, not to mention your skill. Let us know what your family thought. The youngsters here LOVED the Molasses Oat Bread.

Here are Ashley's two girls (my grand girls) and papa Brian attending to our weekly "stirring of the mothers" yesterday.
