It means Country Bread in French. It was their daily bread until it became easy to walk out and buy a baguette. It's made with rye flour along with soft whole wheat. Anyone have a recipe? Techniques you can share? I have made it with yeast and it's so good but originally, it would have been made everyday with a levain. (sourdough starter)

Hi Sylvia, Do you think the recipe you've made before can be modified by slightly reducing the amount of water and possibly flour added so you can use a sourdough starter instead of yeast?
