My question is when you are ready to do your first bake, you pour Mother into the bowl, take out for the next mother, and with what,s left make pancakes or waffles. But what's the recipe for them? thanks Shann |

Hello Shann. If you have MaryJane's Wild Bread Book, there are recipes for Pancakes and Waffles on pages 175-177. Hope this helps. |

I made waffles on Sunday morning for my first bake day. I was curious to see how the taste would be. I am using Kamut flour and I have been adjusting to the new smell as compared to baking with plain old Gold Medal. Oh my gosh!! What a fabulous recipe and flavor! Crispy delicious and satisfying. My husband, who is not fond of waffles and who does most of the cooking in our house, tried one just to be a good sport and support me in my new interest. He really enjoyed it and said he would eat them again. WIN. I took a picture now I just have to figure out how to post it : ) |

Yum! Kamut does have a wonderful, nutty, slightly earthy smell--perfect with a bit of maple syrup. |
