I want to order more canvas from Organic Cotton Plus, but have a question. When I ordered last time I ordered the white canvas and I see it has a different thread count than the natural or other colors of canvas. 9 oz. Does it make a difference when working bread what the thread count is in the canvas?

Hmmm, I don't know the answer to that, Janet. How about testing it out for us and letting us know if it makes a difference????

Thanks MaryJane, and I would if I could find it again. I was looking at the canvas at Organic Cotton Plus, where I had bought the first time around. Yesterday while searching they had canvas with different colors, but they all had a different thread count. I ended up ordering three colors, natural, white and stone, but it didn't show the thread count, and after searching again, I can't find it. So, I will look again, and if I can find it I will try to purchase more and let you know.

The color "stone" sounds lovely. Anxious to get your feedback. BTW, love your James Beard quote, perfect for those of us with milk cows, specifically Jersey milk cows, that provide plenty of cream (and butter).

Thank you. Yes, that's for sure, milk, and that butter and cheese atop a warm slice of bread. Can't beat that. The reason for the question above was because I wanted to purchase the same canvas that I bought the first time around but I don't remember what it was, so then I came across the different thread counts and that messed me up. I wouldn't think a person would want it too course, but will see how things turn out.
