My Batter Bread finally made it this week!!! It only took it a little over 4 hours to rise in my proofer at 85 degrees!
Do you think next week I should test it to see if its ready for the fridge?

This is was my bread at 10:45 AM before I put it in the proofer.

This was my bread at 3:10 PM before I put it in the oven.

My bread fresh out of the oven at 3:50. It was a little darker than normal because it was 5 min overtime, the FedEx man came and I had to go make sure my dog didn't climb in his truck, lol.

My bread right before it went into my mouth, lol.

It was perfectly moist, had a light sour taste. I think I had perfect success today.
If at first you don't succeed (In getting your mother to rise) try, try again!!

The side by side comparison is really handy to see. Patience is certainly a virtue, especially when that patience pays off in the form of lofty wild breads.

On the left is a wholewheat loaf from a 4 week old counter mother. On the right is a sandwich loaf made using a white flour mother that was started in November 2019. Patience is a virtue !
