Posted - Jul 01 2022 : 04:01:30 AM Good morning everyone! I live in tropical and sunny South Florida. I've never baked my own bread before but when I found out Whole Foods was selling baked goods with GMO ingredients, I knew I needed to learn to make my own! My first question... I don't know if it's because I live in a warmer climate, but my starter is always separated when it's time to feed - it has about 1/4 inch of dark liquid on top and is always runny. I'm planning on making muffins this weekend because I don't think it is ready for bread. Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated! |

Posted - Jul 01 2022 : 10:02:56 AM Hi Emily! The separation is normal, but your mother could have more separation because of your warm climate. If you have an opportunity, try sneaking in an extra feeding for a day and see if there is a noticeable difference in the amount of separation. I hope your muffins turn out well and am excited to hear more about your bread making as your mother develops. |
